Bourgogne Rouge Bachelet 2006

Winemaker's Notes:

87-88+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): The Bourgogne route is excellent in 2006, and is clearly not an afterthought in the Bachelet cellars. The nose is impressively deep and black fruity, as it offers up notes of black cherries, roses, French roast, and some Gevrey notes of grilled meat. On the palate the wine is medium-full and quite deep for its appellation, with a bit of tannin, sound acids and good length and grip. This is really about as fine an example of Bourgogne as one will find in all of Burgundy. 2008-2015+. (Nov/Dec 2007)
