Boundary Breaks Riesling Ovid Line North 2016

External Review:

Ruddy notes of pressed apple and earth are a departure from the typically perfumed Boundary Breaks style, but offer a uniquely savory, mineral expression of Riesling. Off dry in style, it’s racy, spry and concentrated in sweet-tart yellow-peach flavor.

After the nuanced and quiet nose, flavors of juicy strawberry, mango and honeysuckle burst on the palate. Grey slate underscore the ripe strawberry flavors, while a backbone of acidity contributes to an impression of the seashore.

Whiffs of herbs and green florals persist from start to finish on this elegant off-dry Riesling. The palate is lush with ripe white-peach flavor, but blossomy and bright with a streak of lemon-lime acidity. Finishes long with a delicately lacy sweetness.

A rounded, off-dry style, showing good depth and length, with anise, green fig and pear flavors melding together and carrying through the creamy, flattering finish. A crowd-pleaser. Drink now.
