This wine should meet the expectation of most wine enthusiasts familiar with the wines of this Beaune Village: candied almond might be one way to describe the nose (with a certain astringency on the olfactory nerve). Entry is pleasant and smooth with some residual alcohol on the palate - but not too distracting. This is a well made, clean long-finishing wine. Recommended if obtainable.

Apples and pears predominate on the nose with some wild mountain stream notes - almost like melting snow for those of you who know something about the many nuances of frozen water. Good, sweet chardonnay core on entry - but subtle - with little oak apparent. Some hazelnut or almond, but less present than in some other examples of this wine. Satisfying, medium finish. Perfect for drinking now, but will last another year or two.

popped and poured. lovely white gold color. nose had mint, white peach and grapefruit with some grass as well- a bit tight on the palate with excellent minerality, real elegance and a fantastic frame. I'd leave it alone for 5-8 years.
