Food Pairings for Bottega Vinaia Trentino Pinot Grigio
Editorial Reviews for Bottega Vinaia Trentino Pinot Grigio
Light and crisp on the nose with yellow pollen floral tones and gentle apple fruit, with a hint of waxy incense. In the mouth, this is fairly rich but restrained. There’s nice depth of fruit, all in the golden apple and pear end of the spectrum, with a touch of hay-like complexity. This is a bit firm and shows an elegant side to Pinot Grigio that is hard to find. Crisp and very pretty, though it does show some heat on the finish. 88pts
Straw bright, aromas of yellow tree fruits and beeswax; elegant flavor notes of bright lemon curd, yellow apple and citrus, racing to a moderately long, clean finish.
Pleasant pinot grigio, lemon, citrus and very oaky
Pale straw, warm aromas of nectarines and summer flowers, palate notes of yellow apples, yellow stone fruits with a kiss of citrus, framed by integrated acidity with weighty mouthfeel lingering to a lengthy finish.
Sorry to say this is the last bottle from the case I purchased a year ago. Hoping I like the newer vintage. This is a delicious and refreshing Pinot Grigio from the northern Italian region of Trentino. Daybright yellow in color and clear. Wonderful aromas of citrus, lemon peel, melon, and floral. Medium weight in body, soft, with a slight oiliness. Bright flavors of lemon, fresh melon, pineapple, and a hint of honeysuckle. A second sip showed more tropical fruit, ripe peach, and mineral notes. A nice acidity leads to a long, mouthwatering finish! This Pinot Grigio would pair perfectly with roasted chicken, fresh green salad, pasta with a white cream sauce, fish, and medium cheeses. I really enjoyed this Pinot Grigio and if you have a 2009 vintage, I recommend to drink it before 2014. It is excellent right now! WineSplashing!!
not terrible. Sour and salty with almost no fruit. Grigio is supposed to pair well with alfredo sauce which I did. i wish I hadn't. this would go well with feta or other salty cheeses.
Not very impressed with this. I suspect that I had the wine too long and it did not age well. The fruit was almost completely gone. It you still have this, I suggest you open it very soon. It will not be any better as time passes.
Salty, sour, gave me a slight headache.

Winemaker's Notes - Fresh, dry and flavorful with a firm structure leading into a lingering finish, it displays character and finesse.
A Pinot Gris wine from Trentino Alto Adige in Italy. 2010 Bottega Vinaia Pinot Grigio 750ml
A distinct step up from many Pinot Grigios, with floral and herbal nuances layered over a fresh-fruit core of peaches, pears and white-fleshed melons. Tangerine and anise notes give a lift to the finish.
Pretty and intense floral nose,. Fresh and crisp in the mouth, with excellent structure and a dry finish. Great with a salad or seafood.
A landmark Italian Grigio that has set the bar for dozens of other imports, and for good reason: This wine is packed tight with pear, peach, almond skin and a touch of lemon zest. Compact and consistent in the mouth, and a great match for bouillabaisse.
Smooth, silky and suggestively redolent of banana, yellow fruit and white stone. Therersquo;s a unique roundness or velvetiness to this wine, but also fruity freshness and playful youthfulness. Very food friendly.
Tart peach flavors warmed by spicy alcohol form the core of this clean, smooth pinot grigio. Chill it for sole or other white-fleshed fish.
