Botalcura Winery Merlot El Delirio 2004

Winemaker's Notes:

Wine description Appearance: Half intense red ruby, with dark reflects. Aromas: Intense blackberry aromas, plums, vanilla, nutmeg and oak. Palate: Gentle on the front palate, opening to full fruit flavours in the mouth-filling middle. Intense and well-integrated tannins lend a solid structure, in harmony with the acidity. Medium-bodied and long on the finish. This Merlot has a very nice color and concentration, it exhibits the best characteristics of the variety in an easydrinking style. The oak accents harmonize with the bright fruit.

They began their project in 2000 and vinified their first wine in 2002. Read less

Rich, spicy slightly hot nose. In the mouth this is an intensely jammy wine bursting with fruit. Some chocolate and spice and a twist of tannins on the end. Not half bad - a bit one dimensional - terrior? but good
