Bosquet des Papes Chateauneuf-du-Pape a la Gloire de Mon Grand-Pere 2012

Winemaker's Notes:

94-96 points Jeb Dunnuck (Wine Advocate): ...close to 100% Grenache that comes from the Gardiole lieu-dit. Aged all in demi-muid, it is an awesomely textured, seamless effort that boasts knockout aromas and flavors of kirsch, wild strawberries, herbs de Provence and red licorice. Not quite as backwards or concentrated as the Chante Le Merle, it should be approachable at an earlier age and drink brilliantly for 15 years or more. Drink 2015-2027. (Oct 2013)

Outstanding CndP, one of the rare in that it is virtually all Grenache. Fruit and acid are quite balanced, but the tannins are rippin' right now. Decant for a few hours. If you can get this for $60 you won't be sorry.

GReat wine that really developed with a little air. Rich fruit surrounded and layered with earth and chocolate notes. With time some nice leather and raspberry started to come out. 3.5/5 [NR]

I tasted numerous samples destined for this cuvee and 2009 looks to be an outstanding vintage for this producer. All samples possessed fantastic, rich aromatics, perfectly ripe fruit, solid mid-palates and structured, almost burly personalities. I'm ... Rhone Report, The. The 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape, a sleeper of the vintage, is one of the finest traditional cuvees they have made.
