Although the history of the city of Borja takes us back to the beginnings of the Paleolithic period, it wasn’t until the 4th century before Christ, in the heart of the Celtiberian period, when thanks to classical and numismatic written sources the name of this village came to light: Bursao. With the passing through Bursao of different civilizations like the Romans, Visigothic Hispania and the Muslims we have inherited architectural remains and above all, the natural inclination of its people towards agriculture and more particularly viniculture. Tasting Notes:

Rich, almost extravagant, this wine offers ample evidence that red wine blends in Campo de Borja can achieve relatively lofty heights. This Garnacha-based wine, allied with helpmates such as Syrah and Cabernet, shows lots of black fruits, even hints of cassis, along with barrel-derived vanilla, pepper, and spices.

The wine comes from grapes grown in mountainside vineyards located between 1,650 and 2,100 feet above sea level.

36000 bottles produced.

Notes: Aged in French and American Oak for 10 months, additional 14 months aging in the bottle.
