The Sonoma bottling, while not overtly fruit, immediately pleases the palate with seductive, sweet cherry fruit. With complex flavors of dark plums, star anise and dark cherry liqueur, this silky Pinot shows plenty of depth as well as hedonistic pleasure. The lingering impression of toasty spice and fruit is beautifully balanced on an elegant, medium-bodied frame.

Tons of fruit but not over the top, it shows restraint. This new world Pinot is very accessible, with flavors of wild cherry and herbs. The wine is balanced and the finish is full of spices and enjoyable fruit. Serve this one up with a wide variety of meals, from grilled salmon to roasted chicken.

Outrageously delicious and more compact than the Sonoma bottling the “Q” is a subtle but firmly-styled Pinot Noir. Woodsy aromas surrounding a cherry drop core drift from the glass while the bright ruby color reflects the freshness of the fruit. It’s dense and compact on the palate with substantial amounts of elegantly structured black cherry fruit. A powerful Pinot Noir from California in a restrained European style.
