An easy drinking nice mouthfeel cabernet for its price. A plus that it's organic too.
Nearly as good as the 2006 vintage, but can probably sit for a year before being enjoyed.
this is my favorite organic red wine. cannot go wrong with this one. i have not run into a red wine drinker who did not agree with me.

A wonderful red wine, full-bodied, dry and elegant. It shows Cabernet character in the blackberries, cherries and black currants, but that's balanced with an earthiness and minerality and even some smoked meat notes that must come from a percentage of Syrah and Petit Sirah. Tasted in a flight of much more expensive cabs, this one easily stood out. Editors' Choice.
From the Fetzer family, this Cabernet is produced from organically grown grapes. Rich plum and berry balanced by American and French oak creates a full-bodied wine that would complement a side of beef.
Zinfandel has forever defined Mendocino, a tribute to the remarkable winesproduced by Italians who settled this rugged county. Their Zin field blends stoodup to winter cold and paired well with the rustic cuisine of the old world. OurBonterra Zin is a lot less rustic, a little more elegant, even Claret-like, but stillrecognizably Mendocino (with the best of the Amador Sierra Foothills brought intoplay.)Bonterra Zinfandel is from mostly dry farmed, head trained vineyards of low yield,watched over in the old world farming style that today we'd call organic, but whatMendocino farmers like the Poor family called common sense. Most of the vinesaverage 35-40 years old, on St. George rootstock. Mendocino dominates theblend, with vineyards in the hills and valleys at 800-2600 feet above sea level, butAmador offers a spicy complexity that rounds out the wine. Selected lots aregently pressed to soften tannins. It's truly a wine we try not to manipulate muchbecause the fruit from these exceptional vineyards simply doesn't need it.
