Bonterra Vineyards Syrah Mendocino County 2006
Wine Enthusiast Review Rated 90 BEST BUY Extraordinarily rich in briary flavors of wild blackberries, licorice, cocoa and pepper, this Syrah has the added virtue of finishing dry. Although it's a bit soft, it's a beauty, especially at this price. Wine Tasting Notes Aromas of intense cola spice, blackberry pie (or is that blueberry?) alongside sweet vanilla oak and rich, creamy chocolate. The tannins are velvety smooth, even plush, and layers of flavors highlighted by rich berry, hearty blackberry and chocolate stand with vanilla oak spice. The oak is wonderfully integrated.
