Bonterra Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc Organic 2016

Winemaker's Notes:

"At Bonterra, we take our cues from the land and the fruit. We let them tell us what to do. Our holistic approach to winemaking took root in 1987 when we were experimenting with wine and food pairings. The fruits, vegetables and herbs we used came from our extensive organic garden. The purity, intensity and freshness of the flavors were amazing. From that point on, we committed ourselves to growing grapes organically. Over the years, we've evolved our philosophy based on what we know works. Today our vineyard is an environment of incredible diversity: soil, plants and animals work together to create a web of natural balance where all the elements thrive. Decades of learning and winemaking accolades have reinforced our passionate belief that our organic grapes make better wine." - Winery Note

Lush and fruity nose of peaches, limes and nectarines. A rich and round wine, softened by some sugars. The wine has good fruit, but more over, good structure and notes of nettle, bay leaf and gooseberry, before finishing on a nutty, spicy note.

Has a clean, citrus flavor. It was OK.

Defined by a dried floral note, with jasmine and lavender nuances, offering a core of clean, juicy green apple, melon and lemon flavors. Crisp and light on the finish. Drink now.

This is hard to resist, a crisp, easy sipper that’s gentle on the wallet and bright with sweet jasmine aromatics. On the palate expect refreshing Mandarin orange and lemon zest flavors. It’s a clean, crisp wine made from organic grapes, 52% of which hail from Lake, the rest from Mendocino County.

Intense aromas of grapefruit, citrus, kiwi and fresh cut grass greet the nose. As you drink, the crisp acidity gives the wine a fresh vibrant feel with flavors of grapefruit, lime zest and grass that closes with favors of melon and a nice tart finish.

Grapefruit and lime flavors are tangy and bright, with green apple and lemon-thyme grace notes. Drink now.

A sweet riesling with simple gum drop flavors and clean acidity in the finish, this is balanced for sipping on its own.

With organically grown grapes from both Lake Country (58%) and Mendocino (42%), this showcases the best of both regions. It has a great mix of lemon, grapefruit, honeydew and kiwi freshness that remains balanced on the finish. Itandrsquo;s a quaffable summer wine.

Ultraclean and bright, as Bonterrarsquo;s wines nearly always are, this Riesling shows good varietal flavors of citrus fruits, peaches, wildflowers and minerals. Itrsquo;s bone dry, and the acidity is wonderfully mouth-cleansing. Try as an alternative to Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio.
