Bonterra Vineyards Chardonnay Mendocino County 2007
Among the many fine Chardonnays, ours stands apart for the authenticity of its fruit flavors, derived from grapes raised organically along the Russian River. A hint of oak complements the freshness of fruit and the evident notes of green apple, pear and citrus. Our wine is aged for several months to develop a rich, creamy texture that gracefully balances its fruit-forward character. Food Pairings: Filet of sole almandine, butternut squash soup and corn chowder, creamy polenta, crab or shrimp in chardonnay cream sauce, baby greens with toasted almonds, dry jack cheese and lemon zest vinaigrette, roast chicken, crab cakes, seafood salad
We've been farming organically since 1987. Because it's our belief that organic grapes make better wine.
Well rounded and pleasant. Was popular with guests I had over to taste a few Mendocino Chardonnays.
Low acidity (very smooth), apple and citric flavours, and a well-pronounced woody finish. This wine was an extremely pleasant and a very affordable discovery.
