This was a pleasant surprise. I was not expecting to love this as much as I did. I am generally not a fan of Cali Pinot, but when the wife made a chicken/feta/spinach sausage meal I had to pair it with something like this. Great earthy flavors that remind me of Burgundy at half the price. not tangy at all.

"A straightforward, well-priced wine with hints of cola spice, dark cherry and strawberry vanilla that’ll go down easy and pair with all kinds of lighter fare. Made from organic grapes." WE 6/12 "Garnet core, with a paler hue at the meniscus. Pleasant aromas of oak, red fruits, tea leaves, and underbrush speak of Pinot Noir. Fine acidity on the attack, where a fine beam of tannins supports the focused red-fruit flavors. Fine acidity on the backend bodes well for pairings with duck, roast chicken, and anything cooked with mushrooms. Made with organic grapes..." SWJ 11/12
