Bonny Doon Vineyard Orange Muscat Monterey County Ca' del Solo 2007
Harvested and hand sorted from our certified biodynamic vineyard of Ca’ del Solo, our Orange Muscat is a powerfully aromatic meditation on citrus minerality. The wine is just slightly off-dry and should once and for all induce those fearing the bogeyman of residual sweetness to put their apprehensions aside. This highly aromatic wine tips in around 1% residual sugar, immediately stimulating the organoleptic pleasure centers of the brain, providing great satisfaction. Lingering just below the initial waft of blood orange and citrus zest resides a host of organic botanicals and stony notes. The combination of these elements - the perfume, the very modest sweetness and the botanical notes - make this a brilliant aperitif and an excellent compliment to spiced and fusion cuisines.
sweet like a gewurtztraminer. not a sparkling wine, despite what it says here.
Balanced and slightly acidic, this wine perfectally compliments spicey foods. Not sure how this would be as a drinking wine unless you like bright, crisp, citris flavors.
