Bonnet-Huteau Muscadet de Sevre et Maine Sur Lie les Dabinieres 2015

Winemaker's Notes:

90 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): The les Dabinières single vineyard bottling from Bonnet-Huteau hails from soils that are mica-schist and gneiss, with just a touch of clay to add a bit of gravitas in the mid-palate. The 2015 les Dabinières is lovely, wafting from the glass in a complex constellation of lemon, a touch of pear, straw, ocean breeze, beautiful minerality and a topnote of dried flowers. On the palate the wine is medium-full, crisp and wide open in personality, with a lovely core, solid framing acids, lovely focus and a long, complex and classy finish. This does not have the backend cut of a vintage with fine fin de saison weather, but there is still plenty of vivacity on the backend and the wine should age fairly well. 2016-2025. (Sep/Oct 2016)
