Syrah combines a meaty core of ripe berry fruit with tones that range from herbal to peppery in a package that tends to be medium bodied with good acidity and softer tannins. At first, quite acidic and not that great. My suggestion is to leave it open for about 20-30 minutes, then it is a really really good wine. I was shocked how good it was once it aired out a bit. would have rated it a full 4 glasses except for the initial tasting at opening.
