Reddish-purple in the glass, Wooody, spicy nose. Big, robust on the palate. Very firm. Serious tannin. Really, the kind of red wine that I like a lot. We're having pasta with red sauce, tonight and this will be good, but this wine is meant for grilled beef.
Deep garnet color. Vanilla, black cherry and spice on the nose. Oak monster. Dark fruits and chocolate on the palate. Very smooth with decent tannins and a fairly lengthy finish. Just a tad too much oak for my tastes but overall very good.
Exceptional! Cherries and vanilla on the nose, a palate of cherries, red plums, and persimmon. resinous with a perfect balance of oak and tannins, has a moderately dry finish that is perfect with duck, goose or lamb. This should be a 90 point wine.
