Bogle Vineyards Red Blend California Phantom 2008

Made from Petit Sirah, Zinfandel and Mourvèdre, this is a dry, tannic and full-bodied red wine to drink with grilled meats and cheese. It has spicy flavors of cherries, blackberries, plums and cocoa.

A wine of complex character. Vivid essence of black pepper, dark fruit and juniper haunts the nose, while brighter flavors of blackberries and blueberries glance off the palate. From the shadows, toasty cinnamon and nutmeg emerge, subtly embracing the deeply luscious and succulent fruit to create a full-bodied, ruby rich wine.

Lots of old vine grapes went into the making of this Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and Mourvedre blend. Itrsquo;s intensely fruity and spicy, a clean wine to wash down barbecue and burgers.

Notes of juicy boysenberry and black fruit are deepened with aromas of pipe tobacco and black pepper, while subtle hints of clove and vanilla softly envelop the palate. Intense and luscious, the rich character opens to reveal red fruit flavors.
