The best of the Bogle wines that I have tasted, somewhat spicy and dry. Much better than their Cabs or Merlots. Good for an everyday wine. Read more
For 12 bucks? Hell yeah! Smooth; not too tannin-y; effin' delicious for the price. I buy this at my local corner store. Yum. Read more

Food Pairings for Bogle Vineyards Red Blend California Phantom
This is a big, full-bodied blend of dark, jammy berries and black pepper with subtle spice notes and an oaky finish. The wine possesses a high tannin level (relatively acidic), which suggests superior pairings with fatty foods, such as soft cheeses, lamb shanks and sausages.

Tremendously fruity, with huge berries both red and black, mace, and cinnamon on the nose and the palate. Finishes with wet rock and petrol, and surprisingly light tannins. Would be excellent with duck, rare steak, and smoked foods.
rating 88. This is a smooth very well balance wine with not toomuch fruit that normally zinfandels exibit. The nose is well balance but not very pronouced. Fine tannins , very elegant Blend.
Loved the past vintages and this does not disappoint - I want to wait another couple of months for the true test but here is my initial reaction - I tasted first and then let it sit in the fridge for 1 hour - that was the ticket - more pepper and spice than 2005 - I get lots of choc covered cherries, blueberries and mocha - smooth finish with a hint of choc candy - will be great 6 months from now!

A toasty vanilla bean note adds charm to the medium-bodied wild berry and grapey aromatics. Appealing for its focus and smooth ripe fruit flavors. Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2012.
Lots of old vine grapes went into the making of this Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and Mourvedre blend. It's intensely fruity and spicy, a clean wine to wash down barbecue and burgers.
Ripe, with vivid pomegranate, wild berry and raspberry-rhubarb flavors that have a spicy floral edge. Ends with a complex aftertaste and firm, integrated tannins. Petite Sirah, Zinfandel and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2011.
Made from Petit Sirah, Zinfandel and Mourvegrave;dre, this is a dry, tannic and full-bodied red wine to drink with grilled meats and cheese. It has spicy flavors of cherries, blackberries, plums and cocoa.
Three unique varietals combine lush berry and fierce spice into a wine characterized by its incandescence. Brighter fruit and brighter spice highlight this vintage of the deep ruby apparition. Aromas of plums and cherries are embraced by touches of black pepper. From the deep dark depths, subtle notes of anise, juniper and vanilla emerge and compliment the concentrated fruit characters of this wine. Captured in 1, 2 and 3 year old American oak barrels, this wine showcases the best these distinct varietals have to offer.
Three distinctive varietals combine lush berry and fierce spice into a wine characterized by its incandescence. Deeply luscious and succulent blackberries ignite this vintage of our rich ruby apparition. Aromas of anise and sweet fig are embraced by touches of black pepper. From the shadowed dark depths, subtle notes of cloves and vanilla emerge and compliment the concentrated fruit characters of this wine. Captured in 1, 2 and 3 year old American oak barrels, this wine showcases the best these distinct varietals have to offer.Though this wine is remarkable now, age in the bottle will only integrate the three unique varietals more. Welcome the winery ghost into your home again with this latest vintage, and enjoy with full-flavored and hearty meals...before it vanishes again. - Winery
