The first impression recalls a sun-dappled forest clearing, scattered with sweet wild strawberries and rustic mint. These hints of pine, bright berry and fresh herbs follow on the well-balanced palate, surrounded by soft suggestions of tea leaves and violets. Toasty vanilla winds itself throughout, wrapping around the finish: long, silky and elegant.

Bogle Russian River Pinot Noir California (750ml). The cool coastal breezes of the Russian River appellation produce some of the most widely acclaimed Pinot Noir grapes. Bogle winemakers worked with long-time growers in this region to create this year's vintage. A wine of structure and finesse, floral aromas of crushed rose petals and violets are welcoming and inviting. Dense fruit flavors of black cherry integrate with moderately toasty oak overtones. The lingering impression on the palate is one of firmly weighted fruit with a soft, silky finish, echoing with touches of pipe tobacco and earthy leather. This wine is elegance with accessibility.

The cool confines of the Russian River Valley in Sonoma County provide a near perfect climate for the development of delicate Pinot Noir aromatics and flavors. Cloaked in morning fog with warm sunshine through the later day these valley floor vineyards grow tiny perfect clusters of deeply colored fruit. Soft suggestions of violets and rose petals couple with notes of wild cherries and cola. Subtle cocoa and toasty oak notes closely follow the lasting fruit flavors creating an earthy finish of both structure and finesse.
