Bogle Vineyards Pinot Noir 2010
The first impression recalls a sun-dappled forest clearing, scattered with sweet wild strawberries and rustic mint. These hints of pine, bright berry and fresh herbs follow on the well-balanced palate, surrounded by soft suggestions of tea leaves and violets. Toasty vanilla winds itself throughout, wrapping around the finish: long, silky and elegant.
The Wine Enthusiast best value rating is well deserved. An awful lot of wine for $10.
Vintage 2010 - Bang for your buck pinot with a nice spectrum of strawberry and plum. Quite smooth and I would recommend.
The first scents include lemon zest and freshly mowed grass. Once primed, you will appreciate clean and refreshing crispness of the citrus fruit, paired with just a tiny hint of spring sweet peas. The mouth feel, bracing with acidity, remain laced with touches of richer tropical pineapple fruit. Lean and satisfying finish.

From the winery, 'Created in a classic style, Bogle's Sauvignon Blanc was cold fermented in 100% stainless steel tanks, using reductive winemaking practices, to maintain its varietal character: crisp, vibrant and refreshing. Notes of tropical gooseberry are paired with hints of green peppers, springs herbs and freshly cut grass. A touch of citrus fruit zest teases your mouth as well. Absolutely refreshing, the thick and round mouthfeel is well balanced with crisp acidity for a lasting and memorable finish.'
Lean and juicy, with lime, papaya, green apple and fragrant peach blossom notes. Has good intensity and vibrant acidity. Drink now.
Another Best Buy from Bogle, which seems to produce them so easily. This Sauvignon Blanc is crisp and complex in Asian pear, tangerine and green apple flavors, brightened with crisp acidity and made savory with dusty baking spices.
This is a nice, savory, fruity Sauvignon Blanc that's versatile at the table. It's crisp in acidity, with the flavors of pineapples, limes and vanilla. Good with everything from fried chicken to Chinese food.
Bright berry and cola follows on the well-balanced palate, surrounded by soft suggestions of tea leaves and lavender. From the mellow French oak, toasty vanilla winds itself throughout, creating a long, lingering and elegant finish.
Deeply garnet in color, radiant floral notes perfume the nose, leaving quite a first impression. Silky and smooth on the palate, the wine resonates with wild raspberries and rustic mint. Bright berry and cola tones trip alongside subtle lavender and vanilla, left behind by the impression of our French and American oak barrels. The delicate tannins create a refined, yet lingering finish. - WineryWINE PROFILEVINTAGE: 2010VINEYARD SOURCES: Russian River Valley, Lodi, Monterey and ClarksburgHARVEST DATES: September 7 through October 12, 2010BARREL PROGRAM: 10 months in French and American OakRELEASE DATE: December 15, 2011TECHNICAL DATAWINE pH: 3.67WINE ACIDITY: 0.54/ 100mlALCOHOL: 13.5 % ** SOLD OUT **
Always classic in style, Bogle's Sauvignon Blanc was cold fermented in 100% stainless steel tanks to maintain its varietal character: crisp and vibrant with notes of citrus. A blend of fresh cut spring grass and lime assaults the nose, while a depth of mouthfeel at the entry and mid-palate balances this crisp acidity. Lemon and pineapple fruit complements the clean, refreshing finish. This is the perfect sipper for a spring or summer day, or to pair with appetizers or fish, shellfish and light, spicy foods.
