This is a fabulous wine at a great price. A blend of Petite Sirah 54% - Zinfandel 43% - Mourvèdre 3%, it's rich and deep with a smooth, mellow finish. Great for drinking around the fire with friends on cold winter nights. I'm going back for a case.

Dark color. Nose with leather, tobacco, cherry. Dark, full-bodied wine, with luscious cherry flavors, oak, vanilla with firm tannins. Would drink with meat or would make a nice winter wine.

The Phantom - a perennial favorite of mine! The '04 and '05 are equally smooth, big blends, loads with fruit (black plum!). Each release I buy a case - some to cellar down, some to gift, and some to enjoy with friends who appreciate a well-made wine under $20. If you haven't had the opportunity to enjoy a bottle of this wine, put it on your calendar to pick some up around Labor Day - that's when the limited case production is released. Salud`
