Smooth, easy to drink wine. Dark plum color, berries, spice, and alcohol aromas (prob. not surprising in a 14.6% alcohol wine!). On the palate this really shines, with rounded black fruits and berries, pepper, and a plush mouth feel. Had with marinated flank steak and mashed potatoes. Would definitely buy more, although it is not a complicated wine by any means.

Garnet colored, with a duller brickish hue. Nose is fruity, mostly strawberry and plum, but sharp. The high alcohol content is obvious. On the palate it is soft and buttery, with explosive fruit. Strawberry, prune, and cherry (more bing than dried) are the fruit flavors, with some leather a meat in the finish. It's fairly hot, and finishes a little thin. Overall, very good for the price, and likely to satisfy the oenophile and casual drinker alike.

This is a full-bodied blend that exhibits stone fruits, plum, berries and spices. Since this wine is young, let it sit out overnight without the cork, which will allow it to open up, reducing some of its heat. Pair this with steak or soft cheeses... or just drink it in front of a fire.
