Bogle Vineyards Petite Sirah Clarksburg Port 2005
On the nose, luscious boysenberry teases you along with touches of black pepper and herbs. Trademark inky and jammy tones fill the mouth with ripe fruit and berries. The voluptuous finish lingers with toasty oak and lush fruit. The firm tannins make this a wine that can develop for years to come, but you won't want to wait that long to enjoy it! Try this unique wine with rich meat dishes of lamb, pork or game and their hearty sauces.
Deep black-purple in color with aromas of blueberry, boysenberry and fennel. Rich and soft in the mouth with blueberry and black pepper flavors finishing with soft, dusty tannins. A nice value for less than $10. 13.5% ABV Score: 85
great red berry ,smooth, spicy and a great value
Well behaved, compact flavor. Very sweet with a slight bitterness. Pleasant light finish, but I'm tasting a slight chemical flavor. But I might just be going crazy.
scent of licorice and burnt toast flavor reminded me of watery apple syrup hints of prune and lemon
Pie-filling nose, with vanilla, yeast/toast, blueberry and plums.Plums, blueberry pie, some unsweetened chocolate and a surprising hint of strawberry, with medium tannins and a short, but not sudden, finish.Good QPR, but why bother?
Nice fruit-forward taste. Bold but not overly so, just a good, tasty, Petite Syrah.
Great Value! Bargain
