Add your reviewBogle always seems to deliver and the reviews seem to favor this wine but at least this bottle was a little on the tight side. Medium body not full as noted in the wine makers notes but perhaps it deserves another chance or maybe needs to sit for more than thirty minutes. For the price if it lives up to the what others say it should be a good bottle. I will give it another shot but not anytime soon too many other wines to try :-)

Plum, cherry and toasty oak tones are round and intense, with soft structure.
Ripe and round, with plenty of juicy blackberry and blueberry notes packed in to this full-bodied California red. Hints of mocha and cream lure you into taking another sip.
You've no doubt heard the hype for 2001 California reds. Well, here's your advance preview. Full-bodied and lush, a perfect fit for steak and potatoes or your favorite red meat pasta.
Except for a slightly rustic edge to the way the wine feels in the mouth, this is a spectacular success. It stands next to much more expensive Merlots proudly. Dry and smooth in tannins, the cherry, red currant and pepper flavors are outstanding.

Concentrated and full-bodied, the 2008 Merlot is a study in contrasts. Subtle and silky, yet bright and intense, this deep red wine is multifaceted. Dark plum fruit greets the nose, while the brighter fruit of summer cherry dazzles the palate. The toast and spice of twelve months in American oak seamlessly integrates with the tannin structure of this wine, which is ready to drink now through 2013.
