Average color. Nose with a lot of cherry. Mouthfeel is smooth, soft tannins. Cherry, tobacco easy to drink. 86 pt
A nice representation of Calif Merlot for the money. Nice tannins and fruit. Medium body. Cherries and spice.
A nice wine for the money
Chemically licorice nose - which didnt excite me. However, in the mouth its a lot nicer with fat fruity flavors of bing cherry, and blackberry. Nice chocolate, cedar and vanilla flavors. Toasted marshmallow and bread on the finish, with more Christmas spice and vanilla. Nice
This is fruity, light tannins/acid, easy to drink on its own or with food. 22$ CAN - I would say this is good value...although it is a little "uncomplicated" - but depends on the mood your in! Buy some.
Soft tannins. Great aromma. Nice to drink.
Smooth...yes. Soft tannins...yes. Silky...yes. Mouthfeel...moderate. However, VERY heavy oak overwhelms the fruit. I find it disconcerting with an aftertaste. Barely Ok for everyday drinking and when no other choice is around but NOT to serve guests who who have tasted better. Buy for oneself only when on sale!

Rating: 84/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the September 2010 issue. Stalky and stemmy, vaguely green elements wend their ways into this wine's modestly fruit aromas and thin, modestly fruity flavors. Surprisingly harsh tannins interrupt from mid-palate onward and leave this modest wine gasping for air.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Unlikely to improve with further aging.

Bogle’s Merlot is another great example of the soft and silky wine that this varietal can be. Concentrated aromas of earthy spice and cherries surround the senses. Mere hints of pipe tobacco and spicy oak lend depth to the finish, reinforced by firm, tannins.
