Sweet on the nose with lots of vanilla cream, coconut and fresh ginger spiciness over light apple fruit. Round and plump in the mouth with soft apricot, green plum and vaguely limey flavors under creamy, soft vanilla spice notes. There's good acidity here, which is well-balanced by the sweet apple fruit which dominates the moderately long, creamy, vanilla-tinged finish. A bit round and fruity for my palate, but there's no denying the appeal here. Cocktail wine. 85pts Acidity: Medium Low Perceived Sweetness: Medium Low Oak: Medium Low Spicy Flavors: Medium Low Savory Flavors: Medium Low Fruity Flavors: Medium Intensity of Flavor: Medium Weight in Mouth: Medium

Starts out with apple pie notes (tart apples, nutmeg, cinnamon, buttery crust) but then takes a turn towards fresh and vibrant citrus fruit on the finish. Outstanding for the price! 92pts

Not your typical chardonnay. Drinks more like a Sauvignon Blanc or a Pinot Gris. Tropical fruit, pear, and a grassy nose. First sips have notes of citrus that transitions into a more typical chardonnay butteriness. Finish is long and crisp. Great balance in acidity and a steal for the price.

Yes of course, this has lots of oak and butter on the nose and the malolactic fermentation is subtle. A bit crisp on entry, which makes if up for the butteriness.

Bright straw hue, fresh aromas of cut apples and ripe pear; flavor notes of sharp green apples, pear and lemon mingle with a refreshing acidity across a creamy palate. Nice summer value.

Deceptively complex, tight and vibrant, with a slow rise of citrus-laced ... Drink now through 2014. -JL

An oaky nose with aromas of green apple and other bright fruits. Starts off citrusy, and has notes of juicy apple and pear, along with oak. Crisp. A great Chardonnay for the price.

Aromas of fruit and spice mingle and tantalize the senses as you first encounter this Chardonnay. Green apples and juicy pears give way to elegant hints of Meyer lemons, but circle back to finish ripe and refreshing on the palate. Created by aging on the lees, the rich and velvety mouthfeel takes the fruit to another level, allowing the flavors to sink softly into spicy vanilla notes of American oak. The finish, graceful as a lemon meringue, perfectly balances the wine's creaminess and acidity.

Bogle Chardonnay is barrel fermented with sur-lies aging, and partial malolactic fermentation creates aromas of green apple and ripe pear with cream and butter aromas and palate feel. The spice and toast of the oak is also noted in both the palate and aromas but are not overwhelming

With a generous entry and layer of complexity, this Chardonnay has green apple and ripe pear aromas that overwhelm the senses, while a creamy and buttery texture that caresses the palate. With notes of nutmeg and spice, the finish leaves with crispness and balanced acidity. Bogle's Website

Ripe and tangy, with a bright beam of lemon, fig and apple tones that fold into toasty oak through the finish. A very good, affordable California Chard. Drink now.

Winemaker's Notes:

A rich and elegant wine with layers of complexity. The inviting aroma suggests freshly sliced pears and apples, while the delicately creamy entry gives way to reveal softer hints of baking spices like cloves and nutmeg. Superb value in a true California style.
