Bogle Vineyards Chardonnay California 2007
Bogle’s 2007 Chardonnay has a little something for everyone: barrel fermentation, sur-lies aging, and partial malolactic fermentation. These hand-crafted processes create a wine with a generous entry and layers of complexity. Green apple and ripe pear overwhelm the senses, while creamy and buttery notes caress mid-palate. New American oak lends nutmeg and spicy tones to the wine. The finish leaves with crispness and balanced acidity. creating a wine perfect for pairing with nearly every kind of food.
I didn't mind drinking this but probably will not seek it out again. Oak seemed excessive, especially at first - felt like I was eating wood chips at the end of each sip.
Glass Rating is the Top catagory! This is a totally unique blend of flower fragrant sips and smooth creamy finish! It has become my favorite chardonnay! I recently shared a bottle with a girls day out group, and people swarmed our table to find out what we were sipping that day! It is the Best!

External Reviews for Bogle Vineyards Chardonnay California
Bogle has a solid reputation for its reliable, well-produced varietal wines at very affordable prices. This barrel fermented Chardonnay offers appealing citrus and tropical fruit notes with a creamy texture. The wine's hint of residual sugar makes it an ideal match for savory-sweet fare, like a marinated pork loin with fruit coulis.
Wine Tasting NotesA rich and elegant wine with layers of complexity. Fresh tropical fruits like pineapple and mango greet both the nose and palate upon first sip, followed up by a touch of lemon cream. Complimented by more creamy notes of butterscotch and caramel, the wine has a long, lingering finish hinting of toasty oak. Enjoy this wine with just about everything you can pair it with.
