Faint green herbal aromas greet the nose with suggestions of earthy dried lemon pith. Light and fresh in the mouth, this taste much better than it smells. It’s a modest wine but one that offers fresh and simple citrus fruit flavors that are clean and bright on the palate, turning slightly mineral and pith on the fairly long finish. Serviceable. 82pts

Nice enough mid-week drinker. Nothing great but nothing bad either. No grapefruit just green apple. Not much citrus notes but there's a decent amount of acidity.

Family owned Bogle vineyards has an amazing reputation for producing wines that show outstanding value. This is their Pinot Noir which they source from vineyards in Monterey County and the Russian River Valley as well as cooler vineyards in the Clarksburg Delta near the winery. All of these provide Pinot Noir that has good balance, bright fruit flavors and lively acidity. Fermented in temperature controlled tanks and aged for 10 months in French and American oak. Wine Enthusiast Magazine scored it 90 points saying "A strong, vibrant texture of crisp acidity and firm tannins energizes this flavorful and distinctive wine. Red cherry and raspberry aromas lead to crisp cranberry and cherry flavors. An appealing dry finish brings you back for another sip." Additionally, JustWinePoints.com felt this lively Pinot worthy of a 98 point score. Hard to get a better endorsement than that, especially at this price!
The first impression recalls a sun-dappled forest clearing, scattered with sweet wild strawberries and rustic mint. These hints of pine, bright berry and fresh herbs follow on the well-balanced palate, surrounded by soft suggestions of tea leaves and violets. Toasty vanilla winds itself throughout, wrapping around the finish: long, silky and elegant.
