Boekenhoutskloof Sauvignon Blanc Porcupine Ridge 2012

Member Review by cyril:

Tasted by Club of 14 participants compared with 5 other Sauvignons. What the tasters have thought: Plant nose (blackcurrant bud, straw) or metal. Mixtures of mineral hint of smoke. And even a little butter. In the mouth, always herbaceous plant with the same presence on the nose. Slight smoke takes over. A little bitter citrus finish. Rather simple and lacking in tension. The wine significantly less popular in the series. Tasting date: Dec. 16, 2011 Maturity: Drink today Opinion on the maturity: A lot of fat and light body. Will not last long once the fruit of youth.

Pale straw in colour. Not too over-powering on the palate, crisp. Fresh, clean and grassy.
