Bodegones del Sur Marselan Reserve 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

This is an exciting new grape variety made by crossing Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache. Oak aged for 3 months. Deep red colour. On the nose it shows notes of red berries, mint and eucalyptus. On the palate is velvety initially, intensifies mid-palate and leads to a long finish. Pork and mushrooms dishes would suit this wine particularly well.

In 1979 we had an idea for a business to exploit the richness of a country and the skills of our people. From this came our vision "to produce the very highest quality wines, qualities beyond imagination". Today we are largely responsible for the great reputation that Uruguayan wines have around the world. And this is the way we will continue working. Innovating, learning and investing so that the wines of Uruguay flow to every corner of the world. -One of the biggest wineries in Uruguay but still a family business. Probably the most technically advanced in Uruguay due to its investment and use of the latest technology. -Very forward thinking producing very interesting wines, one of the first wineries to produce Marsalan as a single varietal.
