Another great value wine from Spain. This is a clear, medium intense, ruby colored wine with legs. It has a clean, developing, medium intense nose displaying aromas of red cherry and smoke. It has medium acidity, medium alcohol, medium (+) tannin, and a medium body. It has medium intense flavors of red cherry, apple and oak with a medium long finish. It is a good wine that is ready to drink but will improve in the bottle.

Nose of red licorice, red cherry, some strawberry rhubarb, flower petals and a light oak influence. Tart stewed cherry and kirsch on the palate. Tastes slightly oxidized. Prune notes, with brandy-soaked cherries, rhubarb, some hints of currant, plum skin, dried fruits. Loaded with sediment. Feels warm on the palate. Still retains vibrant acid profile. 3/17/12
