Purpur-Granat mit undurchlässiger Mitte. Pflaumenkuchen und Zimtkirschen in der tiefgründigen Nase, auch Lebkuchen, Speckdatteln und reife Waldbeeren, feine Nussschokoladennote schwingt mit. Samtige Textur im aufwärmenden Gaumen, kompakte Tannine und faszinierende Balance zwischen dem marmeladigen Extrakt und viel Potential versprechender Fruchtsäure, hat die Fülle eines Grange und die Finesse eines La Tache, Zwetschgenkompott, Amarenakirschen und Pralinen, sehr komplex bis ins lange Finale. Outstanding, wie ein Blend aus den besten Weinen der Welt. Dekantieren falls jung getrunken.

The palate oozed appeal, Powerful fruit,spice, tobacco, leather and somewhere amongst it all, something almost minty.The finish was just so elegant. One for the cellar, Xavier Ausas reckons it'seasily good for 10-15 years. (Simon Field MW, BBR Buyer)
