Basa is always lip-smackingly delicious. Bright and wonderfully fresh, this light white is bursting with bosc pear, golden apple and grapefruit blossom. Not to fear, it isn't all soft fruit and floral aromas. You get a punch of zesty citrus and a clean mineral finish. Perfect for summer, but why wait?

There are 15,000 cases of the 2001 Basa, a tank-fermented, light-bodied, fragrant blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Verdejo, and Viura. Mineral, grass, and fig notes dominate this crisp, dry wine.

One of the tastiest, best-made value whites in the world remains Basa, a blend of Verdejo, Viura and Sauvignon Blanc. In the 2002 version, winemaker Telmo Rodriguez has managed to capture the purest grapefruit, passion fruit and citrus flavors, all the while creating a wine with body, bracing acids and simple joy. A surefire apéritif, and also a fine bet for salads of fish.

Everyone's favorite summer sipper is as good as ever in 2007. It's 50% Verdejo, 40% Viura and 10% Sauvignon Blanc, and together you can get a ton of steely citrus and mineral aromas and flavors adding up to endless refreshment possibilities. Spritzy, zesty and a perennial bargain among aromatic whites.

A mixture of Verdejo, Sauvignon Blanc and Viura, this Spanish bargain features a bouquet of tropical fruit: mangos, guava and pineapple. A light to medium body with adequate acidity follows through into a long, melony finish. a great match with boquerones (marinated anchovies).

Light yellow. Pear, apple and cut grass on the nose, with a suave floral quality. Light-bodied and refreshingly bitter, displaying crisp citrus and orchard fruit flavors and a gentle mineral bite. Finishes clean, with good lift and persistence.

This firm, polished white is shy at first, but reveals smoky, vanilla, pear and almond flavors that open on the palate and linger on the finish. Modern style. Drink now through 2005.
