What to Expect

Cabenet Sauvignon: Originally of French origins, this versatile grape produces exceptional wines around the globe. It's usually medium to full bodied with a fine structure that supports black and red fruit flavors with typical notes of olive, chili and herbs that add complexity.

Winemakers Notes

La Mascota comes from vineyards in Finca La Mascota, Cruz de Piedra, Maipú and Mendoza. The grapes are bunch selected for ripeness, and then hand harvested before destemming and gentle crushing. Fermentation and maceration takes place in stainless steel tanks for a minimum of 25 days at 23-25°C. Following natural malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 15 months in new French and American oak barrels. This wine has a deep red colour with hints of violet.
