This wine has a lovely deep ruby color in the glass, and a nose that is a wonderful blend of jammy fruit, black cherries, currant, anise and somewhat of a sour twang, suggesting that the sweet fruit might be well balanced by acidity. The taste is an explosion of fruit in your mouth, with rich ripe berries, yet the acidity of some sour cherry notes really balance the fruit mid-palate. The finish is quite smooth, yet it has a wonderful woodsy sort of taste on the finish, which again is a surprising counterbalance to the rich fruit. This is one of those exceptional bottles. HEAVY... just heavy.. thick and yummy. I had the 2009 vintage. Let it decant for at lease 30mins... it will open up!!! I even set it the fridge over night... the 2nd half of the bottle was better than the 1st! I LOVE IT!

The bright red color of our 2009 Red Blend leads to ripe, jammy aromas and nuances of oak. These aromas extend to the palate, creating a bright, medium-bodied wine with a round, smooth finish.

The 2009 Las Rocas is 100% Garnacha sourced from 80-year-old vines from the DO of Calatayud with 25% of the wine aged in wood. It is a forward, savory, ripe, succulent offering that should prove to be a crowd-pleaser. It is an outstanding value that will deliver enjoyment over the next 5 years.

Bright violet color. Dark berry and cherry aromas and flavors show liqueur-like character. Warm, spicy and fleshy, with good finishing breadth and gentle tannins. Plenty of fruit here, and just enough spiciness to keep the slightly jammy fruit in check.
