Bodegas Salentein Syrah(2003)
Salentein, after a few years of finding its way in Tupungato, has hit the mark with this tobacco- and spice-driven Syrah. The bouquet is ripe, with a hint of prune and earth, while the palate is full, juicy and full of berries, vanilla and coconut. Modern and woody, but satisfying.

- Great intensity and depth enhance the beauty of this bright red hued wine. Redolent with spices and soft smoked meat, this character-rich wine also possesses notes of blackkberries and tobacco, as a result of ageing in French oak barrels. Its mouth feel is rounded at the start, highlighting ripe red fruits and the sweet tannins that are typical of the variety. The 2003 Salentein Syrah has excellent structure and concentration, balanced acidity and a long finish. Recommended aging: Six to eight years.
