RODA I is the blend from those plots which in that year have produced grapes of black, ripe fruit characters. The deep, dark, black fruit is almost always dominated by plum aromas together with mineral and chocolate notes, balsamic flavours, all of which form a whole which flows slowly from the very bottom of the glass, developing hugely as it reaches the expectant nose of the taster.
On the palate, the fullness of the wine comes through clearly, the fruit complexity gently coating the mouth with masses of sweet tannins. The wine shows great length with a finish of fruit and freshness that read more...lingers on well after swallowing, inciting the taster to sip again. These are wines to accompany gastronomic food and to appreciate in the company of fellow enthusiasts.

- Approachable and modern, this Rioja offers intense aromatics of black cherry and raspberry, as well as licorice, scorched earth, and cinnamon from its time spent in barrel. While powerfully constructed, this wine is eminently drinkable today, showing lots of rich fruit.

- Deep rich blood red in color. The nose shows strong anise, deep black cherry notes, raspberries and cinnamon. I want to keep my nose in this glass all night long. A succulent and rich wine that is elegant and well balanced. In the mouth flavors of rich cinnamon, raspberry, black cherries, and more all mingle and dance. Soft overall and delicious. 4/5 [NR]

- All the properties of a wine heading for greatness. Classic yet modern in its concept. The raspberries ooze out of this with lovely lengthy tannic finish.
