User Reviews for Bodegas Rafael Palacios Valdeorras Louro Do Bolo
Add your reviewPale yellow color with a nose that seems serious. Hints of banana, and through in the peel with a fresh cut grass note that frames the picture. Rich, and ready to develop is how it jumps out at me right away. In the mouth this is a rich wine, with a nice streak of acid and pina-colada like tropical flavors. What saves it though from becoming a beach party mime, is the herbal notes, and weight that make me wonder about a fruit salsa on some monkfish. This is a wine that you want to sit with, and watch it evolve.
Tasted at the NY Wine Co's "An Evening in Spain" wine tasting dinner: Intensely fruity nose, a wine of vibrant complexity. Touch of minerality adds more depth on the mid palate. Tropical fruits on the finish. A great summer wine, serve nice and chilled, very refreshing. An excellent complement to fish, or as i had it with roasted peppers stuffed with goats cheese. Similar to an Alvarinho.
Extremely pale golden yellow in color with delicate floral notes interlaced with crisp green apple and a hint of honey. Fun wine! Showing crisp acidity near the pack of the palate, with a buttery round mouthfeel that sort of slips off the tongue leaving a long delicious citrusy lemon, fresh herbs, and pear finish that I'm still tasting after running to get the phone five minutes later. A wine that I could easily sit with and contemplate the world's issues over the course of an evening.
