Vintage: 2001

Got this 2001 vintage from my daughter as she returned from a trip to Spain in April 2005. Wanted to see what a premium Crianza can become with extended storage so left it in my cellar for almost six years. As now 10 years old, the wine is not that dense and has clear light brown edges. Bouquet has subtle dark berries with oak and vanilla. Very smooth, almost full-bodied with a long and a very 'kind' taste. This was the right time to drink, likely to decline from here.
