Bodegas O Fournier Urban Sauvignon Blanc 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

Bodega y Vinedos O. Fournier's mission is to become one of the most outstanding high-quality group of wineries. It aims to achieve this goal using the competitive advantages the vineyards and the weather offer as well as the enabling technology and the relevant local and international winemaking knowledge. At the turn of the millenium, the Spanish family Ortega Gil-Fournier founded a small "boutique" winery, in La Consulta, in the province of Mendoza, Argentina, the second estate in Jose Manuel Ortega's winery empire which stretches from Chile, through Argentina to Spain. Both Jancis Robinson and Steven Spurrier have highlighted Jose as a world class producer in all three countries. Sauvignon Blanc is a refreshingly crisp white wine that offers citrus and tropical fruit flavors with very aromatic notes of green chilies, grass, herbs, asparagus and gooseberries commonly contributing to the bouquet. Sauvignon Blanc is generally unaoked allowing the fruit to shine and highlighting the delicacy of the grape.
