Bodegas Nekeas Vega Sindoa Tempranillo Blend Navarra Tempranillo-Merlot 2010
Soaked beans, sulpher and a bit of sweat sock on the nose right out of the bottle. Wine opens up wonderfully after 60 minutes and nose turns more toward cocoa and strawberry. Taste is minty raspberry jam, astringent, rosin, minerals, chalk. Ok finish, goes two directions. Tannins not particularly well integrated. Good wine, very drinkable, but not remarkable. Would drink again. $10 88 points WKH

Dark ruby. Redcurrant, cherry, dried flowers and a note of pepper on the nose. Suave, supple and sweet, with a core of peppery spices giving energy and cut to the sweet red fruit flavors. No obvious tannins to get in the way of the juicy fruit, which lingers nicely on the velvety finish. - Stephen Tanzer 88 Points

Inky ruby. Smoky dark berries and cherry on the nose. Spicy cassis and blackberry flavors display a youthfully taut personality and are firmed by dusty tannins. Leaves a note of bitter chocolate behind, with the cherry note repeating. This is extremely young but theres clearly excellent material here. The 2007 Tempranillo (80%)-Merlot (20%) is dark ruby-colored with a nose of earth, mineral, black cherry, and blackberry. On the palate the wine is light, fruity, and easy-going, ideal for a picnic. It will provide pleasure for another two years.
