Bodegas Naia Rueda Naia 2007
Tasting Note: Naia has a distinctive character that is notable for its aromas of lime, must and kiwi, together with the classic plant-like qualities that are typical of Verdejo. It is beautifully fresh, and presents a long and dry finish that gives way to a concluding balsamic sensation at the back of the mouth. Its originality -though this might seem somewhat contradictory - is based upon remaining completely faithful to the Verdejo variety's attributes.
Creamy orange, almond and vanilla notes with good acidity and a clean crisp finish. Great aperitif sipping wine for the porch or veranda on a summer day and would pair great with seafood! - Tasted at Marche` Bacchus 8/15/09
Gamey nose, with native grape notes - dry and floral. Lemony, but oddly flabby in the acidity department. Hollow mid palate. Ripe, almost viscous body. Interesting.
Nice floral nose, possibly lilac, with some citrus as well. Good acid with a good finish and strong lemon/lime flavors. A little tropical fruit play.
One of my favorite whites to recommend- complex, hearty.
