Bodegas Muga Tempranillo Blend Rioja Reserva 2003

Winemaker's Notes:

Score:90 Points (Stephen Tanzer) Tasting Notes: Gamey red berry aromas complicated by tobacco leather and mineral qualities; a gentle vanilla quality contributes to the old school impression. Pliant red fruit flavors take on a firm edge with air, as well as a riper bitter cherry character. Finishes with solid tannic grip; this is pretty interesting already but should loosen up in a couple of years.

Good wine for the price. Some complexity and mineral.

Rich, black currant-cherry aromas & flavors. A top-value reserve bottling, unfiltered with a smoky, spicy edge.
