Muga, based in Rioja, Spain, has perfected the art of blending traditional winemaking methods with modern technology. Muga was established in 1932 and the tradtion continues with the Muga family. The Seleccion Especial is a blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha, Mazuelo, Graciano that is aged for 4 years before release. Cocoa, tobacco, and coffee bean flavors predominate.

Bodegas Muga:
Bodegas Muga is a celebrated winery in the Railway District in the town of Haro in Rioja, Spain.  Moved to the present location in 1971 by the children of founder Isaac Muga Martinez, Muga Winery was been producing a variety of wines since its founding in 1932.  Bodegas Muga currently is in control of one thousand acres of fertile wine growing land, and is one of the few wineries in the world that owns its own cooperage.
