Bodegas Muga Rioja Blanco Barrel Fermented 2014

Winemaker's Notes:

91 points Josh Raynolds (Vinous): Green-tinged gold. Displays heady aromas of ripe citrus and orchard fruits, along with suggestions of honey, dried fig and toasty lees. Sappy, energetic and sharply focused, offering concentrated tangerine and pear skin flavors that are braced by juicy acidity and a strong jolt of smoky minerality. Combines power and finesse gracefully and finishes very long and stony, with an emphatic echo of dusty minerals and ripe citrus fruits. Drink: 2016-2020. (Nov 2015)
