Bodegas Muga Rioja Aro(2001)

This wine is made from vineyards older than 60 years with a plant by plant selection. The fermentation is done in small capacity casks, devatting to new barrels where the fermentation is finished. Malolactic fermentation continues in the barrels during spring of the following year. Ageing continues for 18 months in new French Tronçais oak barrels.

Practically opaque in the glass, yet the purity of its colour is easy to see. Only around the rim, where the wine merges with the glass, can you see the unchanged purple colour of a wine which has evolved very little. In the mouth it leaves read more...
