The wine spends 22 months in large American oak vats followed by 16 months in new French barriques before being bottled unfiltered. The wine is a saturated purple with fragrant aromas of earth, smoke, vanilla, blueberry, and blackberry jam. Intense black fruits on the palate.
Bodegas Muga is a celebrated winery in the Railway District in the town of Haro in Rioja, Spain. Moved to the present location in 1971 by the children of founder Isaac Muga Martinez, Muga Winery was been producing a variety of wines since its founding in 1932. Bodegas Muga currently is in control of one thousand acres of fertile wine growing land, and is one of the few wineries in the world that owns its own cooperage.
