Bodegas Monteviejo Malbec Vista Flores Lindaflor 2004

Member Review by jradose2:

Definitely still needs a couple of years (2-3) to lose some of the back end tannins, good fruit not terribly complex but should be nice after aging.

Monteviejo?s entry level wine is Festivo, a 100% Malbec aged for 6 months in new French oak. The 2004 Festivo is dark crimson-colored with a fragrant nose of mineral, spice box, blueberry, and black cherry. Medium-bodied, it is plush on the palate with plenty of ripe, forward fruit, light tannin, and a sense of elegance. It can be enjoyed now and over the next 5 years. It is an outstanding value.

Dark purple core with a violet and ruby rim. Full, rich fruit aromas of plum, blackberry and black cherry surrounded by sweet leather and a touch of cedar. Floral aromas float around the fruit, followed by spicy cinnamon heart candy and a touch of sm... Mike Supple. A Malbec wine from Mendoza in Argentina. 2004 Monteviejo Lindaflor Malbec 750ml
