Bodegas Marques de Caceres Gran Reserva 2004

Winemaker's Notes:

"This reflects the vintage in its beefy richness, while it follows Cáceres's modern style in the polish and elegance of its tannin. The fruit develops definition with air, tasting of tiny cherries and red currants. For the cellar, or give it time in a decanter for lamb chops off the grill...91" Wine and Spirits 12/09

The name of this wine. Marques de Caceres was lent by D. Vicente Noguera y Espinosa de los Monteros. Today, he has been succeeded by his son D. Three and a half glasses

This bright ruby wine is 85% Tempranillo and 15% Garnacha Tinta and Graciano. The nose features wild strawberry and Morello cherry scents, with subtle vanilla oak notes. The fleshy palate offers full flavors of berry and cherry, with smooth tannins and great acidity. Recommended to pair with Mediterranean dishes, fried food, grilled vegetables, beef, or cheeses.
