Bodegas Marqués de Arviza Rioja Crianza 2004

Member Review by tommyvino:

100% Tempranillo which spends 12 months in a combination of older French, American, and Hungarian oak. Medium ruby garnet color with an aromatic nose of bakers spice, dried cherries, and black plum. The palate is flavorful with juicy bright red fruit, dusty leather, and a hint of tobacco. This wine is dry, medium bodied, with lively acidity, weak tannins which are not quite soft but not astringent either, and a long finish. A nice Rioja leaning towards the fruitier side. Good integration of oak which is not overpowering. Well made. 3.5/5
